same me, same photos but a more ‘kiwi street’ feeling blog!
so go here (and don’t forget to bookmark)
yes, yes, it’s finally here!
i’m so so so excited!
and next up is a new and improved blog, not that i haven’t enjoyed this one….
but i want something that looks a little more…kiwi street;)
here’s a little sweetness.
sb ‘made’ me get off the computer yesterday afternoon to go and play
in the ‘white fluffy stuff’ that was waiting for us outside…
we got our doggie, callie, bundled up and we were all
out the door in 10 minutes. at the last moment i grabbed my camera…
what did you expect;)
we went to a park we often visit and always love. but this day, the familiar scenery
was transformed by the glowing, gleaming, frozen likes of winter.
add that silvery, taupey, quiet light. magical.
while we were snapping away at our ideas of breath taking vignettes,
sb noticed a little girl sledding…
did i mention the ‘cutest little girl’ sledding? up and down, up and down.
i asked her mom if i could take a few photographs. she happily said yes.
i realized, after we had left, that i didn’t even ask this sweet little girl’s name!
so, here is ‘pink and brown’ snow bunny.
just in…pink and brown snow bunny’s name is….sophie!!!!!
i wish we had brought our sled!
what a sweetie!
here are a few of some winter magic we saw.
i love the shapes of her tail in these!
we could pretend we were in paris somewhere, right?
can i just say i’m so thankful for husbands, snow dogs and little snow bunnies;)
that warm, bright, glorious light was back yesterday afternoon!
see, you always want more of a good thing!
sophia and lily are, well…you’ll get the idea.
they are lit from within!
i was warned after moving here that the grey winters would catch up to me.
coming from sunny forida, i wondered.
of course it has been more true every passing grey winter.
i know i’m not alone.
i needed some bright light today.
there are a few things my family (from florida) looks forward to, in fact,
down right expects when they come up to cincinnati for a visit…
the white stuff is first on the list. and one that i am somehow expected to order up.
i think my order was lost this year.
but, we did go ice skating!!! well, some of us.
i went the week before with sophia and her friends.
let’s just say i’m still moving slow. so for today, i’m happy to document the fun.
tasha and gabriella on fountain square.
they really are best cousins, can you tell?
just a ‘little little’ while we’re here.
ok, back to the family.
while we’re w.a.i.t.i.n.g
evan is not amused with mr. and mrs. frosty.
he just wants to get on the ice!
this is what happens when you’re waiting in line with someone who has a camera.
sophia sat this one out too.
something about falling 21 times…
finally! there they go.
watch out, dad’s trying to hug you.
there was no white stuff of the fluffy kind, but plenty of family fun.
while my family was in town over christmas,
we went ice skating downtown at fountain square (that post coming soon)
and i ran into a book club friend who
was there skating with her family too.
well…i had my camera…so we rounded everyone up for a few;)
leigh, you have a sweet, sweet family!
